My Approach

Based at MindStudio, a wellness centre in the Northern Cotswolds and with offices in London, I offer a service as either a Psychosocial Occupational Therapist or Psychotherapist/ Counsellor. I am a qualified and registered Psychosocial Occupational Therapist specialising in mental health. I also have a MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and am currently undertaking doctorate studies at Edinburgh University.

I have over 9 years of study and practice working with clients in both the NHS and Private Health Care Settings. Apart from my private practice, I have worked in mental health settings including General Acute Psychiatric Hospitals (NHS), Community Mental Health Teams (NHS), Crisis/ Home Treatment Community Teams (NHS) and an Eating Disorders Inpatient Unit (The Priory Group).  My practice originates from an understanding of the positive impact the therapeutic relationship can have on experience and a desire to enable people to develop their self-awareness, explore their sense of purpose and connect to the things that are important to them.

Over the years, I have been privileged to work with many people who have felt overwhelmed, lost or stuck at times often isolated in their experience. We can all feel vulnerable and it is not uncommon to experience an array of different symptoms, unhelpful behaviours or lack of confidence. The important thing to remember is that you are not alone and working with a therapist can provide a consistent sense of support, as well as short and long-term relief from issues or problems you are facing. I am passionate about my work and strongly believe that therapy can allow you to begin to make sense of overwhelming feelings, thoughts and behaviours and develop a sense of choice and new ways of being.

“I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of therapy and I base my relationships with clients on collaboration, trust and partnership. I am able to provide a confidential, safe and non-judgmental environment where you can feel acknowledged, and listened to.”
